GVI Thailand's Teaching Children volunteers have worked with 22 primary and secondary schools in the Ao Luk district, providing them with English lessons, activities and assistance for approximately 9,982 students
Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

Tiger Temple Trip

It was a long and grueling hike to the top (1,237 very, very steep steps) but totally worth the view. Buddha images galore and a stunning 360 degree view of the surrounding province.

The Tiger Temple is an old, well-known Buddhist meditation temple complete with old growth rain forest with 1,000 year old giant trees, and wild temple monkeys. Expedition Members paid a visit on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed eye candy the temple provided. After the strenuous hike to the top everyone was off for the weekend to enjoy the amazing beaches that the region has to offer.
