End of Term 11!

Thursday was evaluation night at the Ao Luk Non-Formal Education and the final class for the 11th term of GVI's free English classes for the Ao Luk Community. Students in Levels 1-6 joined GVI's staff and volunteer teachers at the centre for one last evening of activities and evaluations before students get a week long break before the beginning of Term 12, the final class term of 2008.

Expedition Members (EMs), created verbal tests to evaluate their students on the skills they had gained in the last 4 weeks of classes. These evaluations are used to properly place the students in the next term as a means of checking on their progress with the English language. While students are evaluated one on one with their teachers, the rest of the class has the opportunity to take part in fun English games and activities with their peers.

At the end of class certificates of attendance a awarded to students who have attended 85% of the classes. This term 65 certificates were awarded to these dedicated and hard working students.
