New Arrivals!

On the 3rd of October 2008, 9 new Expedition Members joined the 6th ever Teaching and Community Development Expedition in Ao Luk with GVI. Joining us from England, the United States, Singapore, and Norway the new group arrived eager to dive into the 100 hour TEFL qualification, community projects and base life.

The expedition began with 3 days of orientation including health and safety sessions, cooking workshops, introduction to teaching English and projects in the community as well as an organized trip to Than Bok Khoranni National Park. The park is a plot of local jungle just a 10 minute walk from the GVI base. It is a beautiful location and EMs enjoyed the down time to stroll through the park and swim in the river. It was a fun and informative weekend!
