Baan Nai Yuan Thai Village

On Friday the 31st of October, the GVI team visited the village of Baan Nai Yuan Thai in the Khao Yai Sub district. The head of the village, the local sub district office and local members of Thailand’s volunteer rescue organization requested GVI Thailand’s assistance to clean up around Wat Prasong Temple and 2 volunteer rescue offices. Everyone joined together to pick up trash and rake leaves to help clean up the grounds. In Thai Buddhist culture this sort of cleaning is considered a way of making merit for one’s karma After cleaning up everyone joined together for a big picnic lunch complete with western picnic style food of tuna sandwiches, pasta salad, egg salad, and potato salad, along with rice, fried eggs, soup and spicy curry.
