GVI Thailand's Teaching Children volunteers have worked with 22 primary and secondary schools in the Ao Luk district, providing them with English lessons, activities and assistance for approximately 9,982 students
Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

New TEFL Arrivals!

On Friday, 12 brand new expedition members began their 5-10 week teaching adventure at the GVI base in Ao Luk. Coming from Australia, England, Ireland, the USA, Canada, and Singapore and a variety of backgrounds and interests, all came with the common goal to gain a 100-hour TEFL qualification and gain valuable practical teaching experience in the local community as part of GVI's long term community development project.

On Friday they participated in an important health and safety informational tour and had some time to settle in to their new home before a weekend of TEFL training to prepare them for classes beginning on Monday!
