NFE Khao Phanom Mini-English Camp

On Friday, GVI TEFL volunteers, interns and staff led an English activity day for 50 students aged 15-25 from the Non-Formal Education Center in Khao Phanom. GVI Thailand has a long standing partnership with the Ao Luk Non-Formal Education Center and are often asked to host education events like these.

The morning started with some ice-breaker activities. In four groups students put together questions and answer words to make simple questions and answers. They used that language to play question ball, an activity to get the small talk flowing. And finally everyone finished with a group survey.

The rest of the day was spent rotating through four 45-minute activity stations including:

Clothing, Colors and Fashion
Giving Directions

Prepositions of Place and Classroom Objects

and Food!!!

It was a great time had by all and both teachers and students left exhausted and smiling.
