Construction and Renovation Week 2

With some extra volunteer and staff hands available due to a break from teaching at the NFE Center, this week focused on some bigger projects. On the second floor of the blue building is a exceptionally long room referred to as "Big blue". GVI as well as the agricultural college and summer camps use the room for teaching but felt they would benefit from creating several smaller classrooms.

The GVI team worked together to put in walls to create 3 smaller, more functional classrooms and painted the walls white to allow for more creative attention down the road. There is still work to be done on this project so stay tuned for pictures of the finished product!

Other volunteers, continued working downstairs painting an amazing seascape mural in the new downstairs classroom which will soon be revealed.

The community is going to be so happy to utilize these rooms in the future. The blue building is really taking shape! Thank you to everyone that chipped in and got dirty this week!
