Renovation Project: Village Tour

For a change of pace this morning we headed out to a nearby village. Mano, the village head, was gracious enough to take us on the tour and provide our volunteers with a rarely seen picture of rural Thailand.

Ban Kuwan Sabai is quite the enterprising village: They have vast plantations of palm and rubber as well as mushrooms, livestock and fishponds. Mano cut no corners as he took us all around the village and demonstrated how both palm and rubber is harvested. And of course, in a typical display of Thai hospitality, he treated us to a delicious meal at his home. It was a great experience and one not to be forgotten!
