Village Project- Big Cleaning Day at Ban Laem Sak
This Friday's village project took place in Ban Laem Sak village in the Laem Sak sub district of Ao Luk. At the request of GVI's new partners, the Ao Luk Community Based Tourism Network, GVI volunteers helped the Ban Laem Sak community to clean up trash in a small fishing community. The fishing community is part of the CBT network and many of the boatdrivers and fishermen and fisherwoman in the community study English with GVI in order to communicate with the growing number of tourists visiting the community.
The trash clean-up was also a part of the "Big Cleaning Day" project through the Ao Luk Community Development Office. This project is a provincial wide movement to keep Krabi clean and green.
