GVI Thailand's Teaching Children volunteers have worked with 22 primary and secondary schools in the Ao Luk district, providing them with English lessons, activities and assistance for approximately 9,982 students
Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

New Staff Member Featured as Case Study

Emma Reinhalter joined GVI as a 6 month teaching intern In October 2009. She has moved up the ladder from volunteer to intern to a full time staff member. Emma will be working as the Teaching Children Project Coordinator and BTEC assessor for projects working with local schools. Emma has been featured as a case study on GVI's website!

Another example of how a little hard work as well as time and commitment to the local community can pay off in the long run.
