Trip to the Tiger Temple
This Saturday's side trip was to the Tiger Temple in Krabi. Although it was a hot day, many of GVI's volunteers opted to make the steep 1,237 step climb to the Buddha image and the 360 degree view at the top of a huge limestone mountain.
Others opting for a more relaxed morning stroll took a hike through the 1,000 year old rain forest surrounded by towering mountains with caves for exploring.
Both options proved to be satisfying. The buses headed into Krabi where many headed off for their own weekend adventures while others enjoyed a leisurely lunch before heading back to Ao Luk.
