End of Term Party
Another term and another party! This Friday, eight 100 hour TEFL certificates were awarded to GVI's newest qualified teachers. We also announced our intern selection for April-June 2009 and will lucky to have former volunteers Sean, Erin, Vicki, and Kim staying on to teach in the community and help with other projects in Ao Luk.
The party was happening as usual. Delicious Thai dishes provided by the students to the tune of Thai and English karaoke. Students and teachers sang songs in pairs and groups including a Level 3 class who had learned "Eternal Flame" by the Bangles and "When you say nothing at all" by Ronan Keating, just to show off their singing skills. It was an exceptionally fun party and many students stayed around to socialize until late into the night.
