Trash Clean-Up

One of our 10 week expedition members, Erin, who will be joining us as an intern starting in April organized an evening trash pick-up at the Non-Formal Education Center. The event began at 5:00 and students from 7PM classes were invited to attend. The area around the NFE Center accumulates a lot of trash. Since GVI's use the facilities to teach English and the community uses it to learn English, Erin thought a trash pick-up would be a great way for everyone to get together and give something back to the Ao Luk community. About 9 of GVI's teachers and staff and several students came out to join in the event. Students brought along ice coffee which provided a refreshing reward at the end of the clean-up.

Thank you Erin for taking the initiative to get everyone involved doing some good and thank you to everyone that participated!
