Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

Kayaking at Bor Thor

On Sunday, Expedition Members (EMs) took an amazing side trip to Bor Thor, a pier located in the village of Klong Suk, just down the road from the GVI base in Ao Luk. Bor Thor is a popular natural attraction in the area. The Choktara family are a local family that run their own kayaking tour company at the pier. Along with a local guide, EMs explored the mangrove lagoons, hidden grottoes, and caves. They saw amazing views and ancient cave paintings at the "Big-Headed Ghost" cave and paddled through the "Tube" Cave past rocks shaped like mermaids into the emerald green waters of a hidden tropical lagoon. Following the adventure everyone had a delicious lunch at the floating seafood re

staurant on the pier.
