Village Project - Baan Nai Kuwan School

Expedition Members not taking part in the Emergency First Response Training back at the GVI base had the opportunity to visit Baan Nai Kuwan School located in the Baan Kuwan Pak Miang village in the Ao Luk Thai sub district of Ao Luk. The school is a very small rural school of 21 students aged 4-13 years old. The school's director loves to allow students the opportunity to study English and sends the students weekly to the Non-Formal Education Centre to study English with the students there. They were very excited to offer them the opportunity to practice English and play games with GVI's teachers.

From 10-12 Expedition Members and GVI staff led the students in fun, interactive English games and activities including 3 legged races, the Hokey-Pokey, and twister. The students learned about colors, body parts, and everyday objects. At 12 everyone got together for lunch. The GVI team brought along sandwiches, fruit, and rice to share with the children. Everyone had a great time!
