English Competition at Plai Phraya Withyakom School

From the Mouth of Babes:
The following was executed by teacher on staff Kerry Todd and intern Cassie-Mae Peters. They represented GVI as judges for an English contest at a secondary school in Plai Phraya, the sub district just north of Ao Luk.

“On the thirteenth of November, Cassie-Mae and Kerry ventured to the Plai Phraya Withyakom School to assist the teachers with their English contest. The contest was being held between four different schools and comprised of a spelling bee, story telling, general knowledge quiz and an assessment interview. There was also an opening ceremony which ended with traditional Thai dancing. Everyone was extremely friendly and the students seemed eager to practice their English with a native speaker. The competitions ran smoothly with many opportunities for improvisation by Kerry and Cassie-Mae. After a lovely meal and many photos they were taken on a brief tour of the campus before wishing everyone a fond farewell and driving home.”

Thanks Cassie-Mae and Kerry!
