New Partnership with the Ao Luk Community Based Tourism Network

GVI Thailand has joined forces with the Ao Luk Community Based Tourism Network to help meet the growing demand for English language assistance in the Ao Luk community. GVI Thailand recently signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Ao Luk CBT Network to provide assistance for the network's initiative to help 8 villages in Ao Luk develop their local tourist efforts based around activities in natural hot spots (kayaking, cycling, spelunking) as well as cultural activities such as cooking, fishing and batik painting.


GVI Thailand has already begun to provide English assistance in these villages through a mini course for the children of Ban Tham Suea. Starting next month one of GVI's interns will begin teaching English language for boat drivers in Laem Sak.
