Ban Nuea Klong

Village Project # 12 took place in the Ban Nuea Klong village of the Ban Klang sub-district of Ao Luk. Ban Nuea Klong is a small, mostly Muslim village with a population of just over 1,000 individuals living in over 200 families. The members of the community support themselves through agriculture, specifically rubber and palm harvesting. The head of the village, along with a team of 20 villagers and the GVI team worked together to make improvements to the community fishing pond located in the village. Together they picked up trash and cut back grass and weeds around the large reservoir. With a large group of people the daunting project took approximately 30 minutes! After cooling off under the shelter everyone traveled to the village's local cave for exploring before returning back to base for lunch.
