Goodbye and thank you to Laura!

Today we bid a fond farewell to Laura, who has been and important part of GVI Thailand since July 2009. Laura started out as a 10 week TEFL volunteer. Due to her background studying education and her awesome teaching skills Laura went on to become a TEFL Trainer, base manager and finally back to a TEFL trainer for her final months in Ao Luk. Laura attempted to head home several times over the past year but returned back to Ao Luk again and again to help make GVI's teaching and community development projects a success.

However, this time, Laura is returning home for real with plans to pursue a post graduate degree in Education with plans to become a secondary school teacher in England.

On Friday GVI's team of staff and volunteers as well as GVI students and members of the community who love Laura, got together at the GVI base for a little farewell party. Lots of yummy food and drinks were available and everyone had a great time.

We hope that Laura comes back to visit us in Ao Luk soon and wish her the best of luck in future educational and career endeavors!
