Plai Praya English Camp at the Ao Luk NFE Center

On Saturday GVI teachers taught an English Camp for 131 students from a secondary school in Plai Praya, the next sub district up from Ao Luk. A teacher from the school is an old student of GVI's evening classes in the community. Ni studied with GVI for several terms finally graduating from Level 6. Ni loves to have her students to have every opportunity to learn the English language and requested the assistance of GVI's volunteers and staff to help with the event.

4 volunteer teachers and 2 of GVI's staff members joined the English camp. Throughout the day students rotated through activities about Questions and Answers, Clothing and Colors, Prepositions of Place, Directions and Food. Activities included surveys, relays, 3-legged races, scavenger hunts and picture dictations. Both teachers and students had a great time.

At the end there was a closing ceremony in which both students and teachers were awarded with certificates. Gifts were given to all the GVI teachers from Plai Praya school to thank them for their hard work.

The Plai Praya school has already requested GVI's assistance with another English camp next year!
