The day steadily approaches; the teams are preparing, limbering up their muscles and their minds, ready for the test of kayaking endurance & mental strength on Friday, 27th April 2012
Who are these brave warriors? Let me introduce first of all the 'Pretty Aroys'. Modestly - and slightly oddly - named ('aroy' means 'delicious' in Thai) the Aroys are a multi-national medley. Anna-Marie from South Africa, from Australia, Jo, Canadian Lana and English roses Ian and Liv - a formidable mixture of brains, brawn & beauty, I'm sure you'll agree!
Would anyone be foolish enough, brave enough to take on an opponent team such as this? Why yes, yes they would; those brave fools are the Mangrove Marvels! A cross between super-hero group and swamp-dwelling creatures, they're a wily bunch indeed. Another international spread comprising of Bertram from Barbados, Barbara of France, Sue & Kirsty from England ,and from the good ol' US of A it's Andria. An incredible mix of mental strength and brute force!
