End of Expedition
January, February and March have been busy for GVI in Ao Luk, Thailand. We have had TEFL Training Volunteers, Teaching Children Volunteers and Construction Volunteers working very hard and providing lots of help to the community. We'd like to thank everyone for all their efforts and for making the projects possible.
GVI Thailand's achievements so far in 2011:
• 240 hours teaching children at 10 local schools
• 384 hours teaching 7 English classes at the Non-Formal Education Centre
• 2 week construction project at the Non-Formal Education Centre
• 2 day school painting project on Koh Yao Noi
• 9 hours of teaching at rural schools on Friday village projects
• 64 hours of English for tourism in Laem Sak taught by intern James
• 250 hours of classes in Koh Klong taught by intern David
• 300 hours of classes in Koh Yao Noi taught by long serving intern Dan
