End of Term Party: Term 29

Happy Chinese New Year!!! The first end of term party of 2011 celebrated not only the graduation of 8 new TEFL teachers but the beginning of the year of the Rabbit. Lots of students came out to celebrate the end of term with their teachers and friends at the GVI base.

Eight newly qualified TEFLers received their 100 hour TEFL certificate. Some will continue on gaining further experience teaching with GVI in Ao Luk while others will venture on to further teaching projects, more travel adventures or head back home.

Our three volunteers participating in GVI's teaching children project in Ao Luk also received certificates of completion and performed the song "I will survive" together. The three women have been working hard teaching English to hundreds of local primary school students.

Members of the community came out to enjoy the evening of delicious food, entertaining presentations and singing and dancing.
