Volunteers Sneakily Songkranned!

Songkran is the celebration of Thai New Year and takes place across the whole of Thailand. It started as an astrological event where young Thais had the chance to wash their elder's hands and cleanse them with 'blessed' water. It has now become a country wide water fight that gets bigger and bigger each year. Thailand and parts of Laos close down, roads fill up and everyone heads to their home towns to spend time with family during what is possibly the most fun festival of them all! Songkran will blow your mind the first time you play, and you will never want to miss it again!

Here is how GVI Ao Luk's volunteers received their first Songkran on 13th April 2011.

Hahaha, it is very funny. You guys should go to play the real Songkran one as Pattaya Songkran Festival. See the photos if you could not imagine how it is about. http://www.pattayaconcierge.com/festivals/songkran-festival-pattaya.php
