End of Term Party!

To celebrate another term completed, we invited all the students over to the base for an evening of good food, great friends and amazing karaoke. Our lovely students provided heaps of delicious food that included pad Thai, papaya salad and fried chicken.

 

Before the karaoke fun began we took the opportunity to recognize some very important people. Our top-notch 10-weekers were given certificates for their contribution to the project and additional hours in the classroom. Happily, four volunteers will be staying with us for the next expedition. Kristy and Becca will join us as interns. Michael will stay in Ao Luk for a term before moving on to our homestay option on Koh Klang. And Laura joins the team as our newest TEFL trainer!

 

As well as announcing our new additions, we unfortunately had to also say farewell. Jude, Emma and Tim are headed home much to our dismay after completing their internships. Kerry is also leaving Ao Luk however only for an expedition – we’ll be seeing her again in January!

 

After all the speeches were made, the karaoke began and all had a fabulous time!
