GVI Thailand's Teaching Children volunteers have worked with 22 primary and secondary schools in the Ao Luk district, providing them with English lessons, activities and assistance for approximately 9,982 students
Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

Tiger Temple Trip

On Saturday everyone took an early morning trip to the Tiger Temple before it got too hot. The Tiger Temple is just outside of Krabi town and consists of an impressive limestone mountain with a huge Buddha image on top, huge 1,000 year old trees in a hidden valley, random caves, beautiful temples, monks in saffron robes and monkeys that hang out waiting for hand outs (or just take food OUT of your HAND!). Some volunteers made the challenging 1,237 step climb to the top of the Buddha image to enjoy the amazing view below. Others enjoyed a stroll through the old rainforest and hidden caves.
