On Friday GVI's TEFL volunteers and staff headed to Wat Praison School, located in the Khao Yai sub district in Ao Luk. Wat Praison is a temple school with about 80 students. GVI's teachers led 2 hours of English and Environmental Education activities with over 50 of the schools 1st-6th graders. Topics included numbers, colors, fruits, animals and littering/recycling and utilized games and songs to make learning fun for the students. Students in the littering and recycling activity took a pledge to help keep their community clean and were initiated into GVI's Green Team with stickers.

Following the classroom activities the students and the GVI team headed to the temple for a litter clean-up to help beautify the surrounding area and further solidify the environmental education workshop.
After a morning of activities everyone joined together for lunch in the school's cafeteria. The GVI teachers sat alongside with the students and chatted over a fruit dessert of rambutan and longsat.
Then it was back to the base for a bit more work before the weekend began. All the volunteers enjoyed their first Ao Luk Village Project experience.
