GVI Thailand's Teaching Children volunteers have worked with 22 primary and secondary schools in the Ao Luk district, providing them with English lessons, activities and assistance for approximately 9,982 students
Over 6,200 hours of English class time for adult students
1,850 certificates awarded to community members for attending GVI's free English classes
305 Teaching and Renovation volunteers providing assistance to local communities
228 TEFL Certificates awarded to volunteer English teachers
English language teachers provided for 28 different schools in Ao Luk

First Day of School!

Our newest Teaching Children Volunteers started teaching today. Between the 3 volunteers they will be teaching English to all of the students at Ao Luk Primary School (700 students, pre-school through 6th grade) and the 1st graders at the Ao Luk Municipality School. We are very happy to be able to meet the needs of so many in the community.

The volunteers started off the week teaching about numbers and will move on this week or next to classroom objects.
